            HR Proactive’s Bill 168 Program is an easy tool to help you meet your obligations to ensure workers understand the issues related to the three problems addressed by Bill 168: (1) violence in the workplace; (2) workplace harassment; and (3) domestic violence as it affects the workplace. Bill 168 training also includes reference to Bill 132 legislation that came into effect September 2016.


            On June 15, 2010, Bill 168, which amended the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to deal with workplace violence and harassment, came into force. In 2016, Bill 132 further amended the OHSA to expand the meaning of workplace harassment to include workplace sexual harassment. The law requires every workplace in Ontario with more than 5 employees to:
            1. develop written policies on dealing with both violence and harassment in the workplace
            2. develop programs to implement these policies
            3. review those policies at least once a year, and
            4. conduct training on these policies
